DAY 1
Airport / Dambulla / Sigiriya
dambYour personal Chauffeur/ Guide will meet you at the airport and you will begin your journey to Sigiriya. View the 2,000 year old frescoes in the rock cave temple of Dambulla, the biggest cave temple in Sri Lanka. Hidden amongst the caves, there are 48 statues of the Buddha dating from the 12th Century. Take a breather and relax on an elephant ride or add some excitement with a wild life safari. It’s your choice.

DAY 2
Sigiriya / Kandalama
sigiAfter an early breakfast, we proceed to the World Heritage Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Built in the fifth century by King Kashyapa.the, the spectacular citadel of Sigiriya rises sheer and proud out of the jungle. This is a remarkable archaeological site that is unforgettable.

DAY 3
Kandalama / Anuradhapura / Kandalama
anu3After a leisurely breakfast, we head off to Anuradhapura, the sacred town of Sri Lanka, the birthplace of Sinhala civilization. It was the capital of Sri Lanka from fifth century BC to AD 1017. When many parts of the world were emerging from the Stone Age, Anuradhapura had already become an advanced civilization. Merchants of the city traded from all round the world, citizens had sophisticated systems of man-made lakes and canals and structure of the town was well-planned. The place has been marked by Ptolemy in his first ever map. Famous monk travelers Fa Hien and Buddha Ghosha of the fifth century have also mentioned Anuradhapura in their relics. Places of Interest – Aukana Buddha, Thuparama Guard Stone, Isurumuniya Temple Ruwanweli Saya, Jethawana Monastery, Abhayagiri Monastery, & the Museum. Time permitting; we will visit Mihintale & Ritigala as well

Day 4
Kandalama / Pinnawela / Kandy / Nuwara Eliya
hotpa-150x150Early Breakfast at your Hotel, and proceed to Kandy. En route, visit the Orphanage at Pinnawala.The Orphanage was established to feed nurse and house young elephants. Visit the lake in the centre of the city, Kandy. & the great Kandyan bazaar and finish with the. Temple of the sacred tooth relic of Buddha. Proceed to – Nuwara Eliya
From Kandy to Nuwara Eliya the road starts to ascend steadily. At the highest point, we’ll climb to 1,500 meters. Make a brief stopover in the Tea Country & beneath your eyes you’ll see tea plantations and small speckled white tea factories. We’ll point out waterfalls, rice fields and vegetable plantations etc.
You will also have the opportunity to visit a working tea factory, where you will be taught how to become a tea expert and you can taste test the world-renowned Ceylon tea.
The Resort town of Nuwara Eliya which is also called Little England is situated 2070m above sea level.

DAY 5
Nuwara Eliya / Kitulgala
kitBreakfast – drive through the little town, where colonial architecture is a stand out. Visit the busy market where tea plantation workers buy their things.
Enjoy the cool climate break for a spell then continue the journey down hill to Kitulgala, along one of the most scenic roads passing the St. Clare’s and Devon waterfalls.
At Kitulgala experience the exhilaration of a white water rafting adventure down the Kelani River in central Sri Lanka.

Reach Belilena turning at Kitulgala Temple on Uyanwatta road to reach the school. We’ll do a short 1 kilometer trek through a wet forest to a cave that is more than 25,000 years old. Here, in this cave, fossils were found of a prehistoric human being.
Natural Rock Pool and Makulu Ella waterfall which can be reached after an excellent trekking and hiking experience

DAY 6
Kitulgala / Colombo

DAY 7
Colombo / Airport
After Breakfast the morning is dedicated to shopping and a visit to the areas of Colombo fort and Pettah market, to explore the colonial architecture with its Dutch and Portuguese influences. Stop for lunch at the restored Dutch hospital in the fort area, built in the 17th century. Visit also the Dutch period museum in Pettah. Then transfer to the international airport and end of your journey.
